Warranty

Every KaiserBuilt home is built to last and backed by warranty. This page explains our warranty commitment in general terms. The full, binding warranty terms for your specific home are set out in your building contract.

Structural warranty

We provide a structural warranty on the homes we build, covering major structural defects for the warranty period stated in your contract. This reflects our confidence in the quality and craftsmanship of every build.

Statutory warranties

As a licensed South Australian builder, our work also carries the statutory warranties that apply to residential building work under South Australian law (including the Building Work Contractors Act 1995 (SA)). These warranties operate in addition to, and are not limited by, any warranty we provide.

What is covered

• Major structural elements of the home for the structural warranty period;
• Workmanship and materials in accordance with the National Construction Code and your contract;
• Rectification of defects notified within the applicable defect-liability and warranty periods.

What is not covered

• Normal wear and tear, and normal settlement or shrinkage;
• Damage caused by lack of maintenance, misuse, or alterations by others;
• Items covered directly by separate manufacturer warranties (for example appliances and fixtures);
• Damage from events outside our control (such as storms, floods or subsidence).

Looking after your home

Reasonable maintenance helps keep your warranty valid and your home performing at its best. We provide guidance on caring for your new home at handover.

Making a claim

If you believe you have a warranty issue, contact us in writing at info@kaiserbuilt.com.au with your details and a description of the concern. We will respond promptly and arrange an inspection where needed.
